Trip to Oklahoma

I did not take any pictures on the trip because I forgot the camera. We had a good time visiting Grammie. Plans changed several times. David and I were going to go to the temple Saturday, but I was sick. My mom was also not feeling well. Sunday we did not make it to church because I still was not feeling that great. We did get to see my sister Alicia, little Cami, Tad, and Tad's dad Reggie or GiGi for short. We also were able to see some family friends-the Barham's. Ana was not too sure about them when they first got there. She finally warmed up a little bit. We also saw my friend Christian and I got to see the latest on the wedding plans. Ana didn't have any problem with her-I really think it was her jewelry. Going back to where I am from is fun and nostalgic, but I like my bed better any day. Wherever that may happen to be. I will post a few pictures soon.

Long time no post-I know!

This has been quite the crazy past couple of months. We have and are still having some trials that we are trying to figure out. I was released as secretary in the Primary and called as 2nd counselor. All of our plans to move fell through. We felt the Lord was calling us to stay here in Wichita-this was not too long before I got my new calling that we made this decision. I have also had a lot of wonderful and frustrating moments with Ana as all parents have with their children. I have learned a lot of interesting things and have had a lot of comfort and peace brought to my mind. Here are some other gems for you:

I was watching my niece and nephew about a week ago when a lady came to buy something I had listed on Craiglist. Immediately after she walked in the door my nephew blurts out, "We're not hers!" I laughed and explained that Ana was mine and the other two were my niece and nephew. I think she got a little kick out of it too.

Last week I had to explain to my nephew again that the picture on the fridge was NOT David and I. It is David's brother and his wife. I don't know why he thinks that is us. David and his brother have a similar face, but they have different hair colors. His wife is pretty, but I don't share her hair color either. My hair isn't as long as hers either. Just to clarify-I think it is all pretty funny and in no way am I offended that he thinks that I look like my sister-in-law. I just think that he should recognize the differences at his age. Also the fact that it is the second time it has happened makes me wonder. Hmmm.

I will end with a recent picture of Ana that I love.

Computer was down: a little frustrating at times, but nice.

Our computer was just repaired today. Last Thursday morning I came in, turned on the computer, and then saw the blue screen of death. I was so glad to find the receipt from when we purchased our computer. We has bought a three year service plan on it and man am I glad we did. Our warranty from HP expired six months ago. Anyways, it was a little frustrating when I wanted to look something up. Besides that, it was nice to have a break. David and I have decided that we will be cutting back on our computer usage. Computers and technology are a blessing, but it is so easy to get caught up in it all. Not much else to report except from a sore nose thanks to Ana. (I still love her of course).
